Announcements from Cornell's Community Relations Office

  • The Collegetown Neighborhood Council (CNC) will discuss CU's annual Slope Day, plus andlord-tenant relations, at its next meeting - 4:30-5:30 p.m., April 10 - at St Luke's Lutheran Church, 109 Oak. Ave. 
  • A first-time CU resource-sharing event for area governments has been scheduled on the morning of April 20 at the State Armory on Hanshaw Road. For more information, access <www.cardi.cornell.edu>.
  • Student safety, and the 2011 Good Samaritan Law will be the focus of the April 23 Campus-Community Coalition (CCC) meeting, 7-8:30 p.m., Ithaca High School cafeteria. Staff and students from Cornell University, Ithaca City School District, Ithaca College and Tompkins Cortland Community College will discuss the importance of someone calling for medical assistance when an individual experiences severe intoxication or a serious injury after consuming alcohol. 
  • The Cascadilla Gorge Trail from Linn Street in downtown Ithaca, to the Stewart Avenue bridge is now open. Repairs continue on the section from the Stewart Avenue bridge to Collegetown and that section remains closed.
  •  Campus advisories and updates - including crime alerts, street closures and operating status - are continually logged at <cuinfo.cornell.edu>.
