Christmas Caroling, Anyone?

Hello everyone,

Where I come from (Michigan, just a couple states over, but culturally, worlds away) we used to go Christmas caroling in the neighborhood during the holiday season. We'd bundle up and go house to house, singing the songs we all knew the words to and quitting when we finally got so cold we couldn't sing anymore. Sound like fun?

I'm wondering if anyone in this neighborhood would be interested to give it a try? What we would need are some folks willing to carol and some folks willing to be caroled TO. My hope would be to get a willing group of singers (young and old) to walk around to households that have signed up in advance to be caroled to. Those willing "to be caroled to" need only to agree to open their doors and listen in admiration as we sing a few songs (we won't come in) and then wave us joyfully on our way when finished.

If you are interested in either option, please send me an email at aimeelehmann@twcny.rr.com and we'll see if we can arrange something.

Happy Holidays!
